About Medicopia

Medicopia is a mobile pharmacopoeia application intended for use by healthcare professionals in India. It serves as a drug information reference tool enabling healthcare providers to access information on medications approved for use in the Indian Market. The information includes generic as well as brand names of medicines, indications for their use, dosing for specific illnesses, adverse drug reactions, contraindications for use, and pharmacology of the drug in question. Divami was instrumental in bringing this platform to life - we defined the UX strategy and created UX/UI designs from a concept stage, we subsequently developed the entire platform, and the app is currently live on Google Play store and App Store.

Design Solution

With the intent to ease and enable the healthcare practitioners, this application provides a comprehensive and accurate drug reference guide at their fingertips, which would have otherwise required a tedious process of referencing large books. It was imperative for us to connect with all the possible usage scenarios and consider the possible emotional states of the physicians during usage as well as the surroundings of usage. Our design solution ensured that more drug details are available in an easy to search and navigate interface. We rivalled similar applications and provided a better user experience along with reaching out to the broad Indian audience. We are continuously supporting the design and development of the product and keep the app knowledge engine updated.

The Details

We helped Medicopia App with our end to end UX services, which comprised of Interaction design, UI design, mobile app and platform development and ongoing support. The team comprised of a Design strategist and a UX/UI designer. The development team consisted of 4 members, including a Development Lead, app & platform developers, and QA. We were able to roll out the project from concept to launch in 6 months, but we continue to support and update the knowledge engine of the platform.
