The Challenge

The main challenge for the Eruvaka team was to develop a comprehensive platform that seamlessly monitors, manages, and plans a large-scale commercial aquaculture farm catering to three different personas - CEO, Manager, and Pond Technician.

Appealing to three user personas with varied educational background and on-field requirements meant reaching down to the grass-root level to emulate a real-life shrimp farming module.

Differentiating with a persona-based approach

On a daily basis supervisors have to set up 100+ Feeders across multiple ponds in commercial farms. Although there are smart features in the devices, the configuration of them is difficult on the platform. We solved it with our three persona-based view approaches.

CEO dashboard

Designed to focus on the holistic view aiding pond planning, device configuration and shrimp culture management.

Supervisor view

Designed to address live monitoring, technician management with a focus on day-to-day activities.

Pond technician view

Designed to empower individual task management and alert resolution through progressive disclosure.

Bulk setup

Enabled supervisors to quickly set up 100+ Feeders through an in-line editor to manage multiple ponds in one screen.

Progressive Disclosure

To ensures users are not overwhelmed, can do the initial and daily set up while managing recurring tasks seamlessly.
